Snails feasting on wild honey

Swaying bamboos, down broad mountains
like a snake flows fresh honey fast,
buckling stems of lotus flowers in ponds,
flowing in canals where snails feast.

Due to swaying of bamboos in heady winds, the honey combs in the bamboos break. The honey overflows down the broad mountains like a snake slithering down and flows into ponds where stems of lotus flowers buckle under the flow. Then it flows through the canals where the snails drink this honey. Again Kamban shows the wealth of the hills and how product of one landscape (honey from hills) mingles with another (lotus flowers in farmlands).
