Fighting rams

Soft natured ewe birthed fearless
stripe horned rams charge at each other
with such frightening clamor,
clouds atop peaks cry out loud.

Rams in pastoral lands charge at each other with huge noise. This noise alarms the clouds that are resting atop the peaks of mountains and make them cry out loud, which causes lightning. Rams are part of pastoral land and clouds are part of hills. As mentioned Kamban writes this as thinai mayakkam (திணை மயக்கம்) – mingling of various thinais (lands) of the country.
